1. Seller must be a member of the
NCMGA. Dues $25.00 for the year. (can join at sale)
2.
Wethers and Does must be
weaned and on feed by the sale date.
3. Wethers must be castrated and
healed before the sale.
4. All goats must have a scappie
tag in the ear.
5. Goats need to weigh at least
45-85 pounds for fall circuit. At the sell the goats need
to weigh 30 or more pounds.
6. The cost of selling the goats
will be $10.00 per head to cover cost.
7. Shavings will be provided by
the NCMGA.
Sale Day Activities
1. Need to have the
goats at the Johnston County Livestock Area in Smithfield
by 8:30am on the sale date.
2. You will need to weigh your
goats and tag or paint the goats with the sale numbers.
3. Goats will then be penned for
buyers to view. You will need to be able to answer
question for the buyers.
4. During the sale, you will need
to help move the animals to the sale area and return them
to the pen.
5. We will start the bid at
$80.00.
6. We will load out the goats
after the end of the sale. We need to make sure the buyer
has a receipt from the office before loading.
7. After all goats are loaded, we
(the sellers) will clean the pen area before leaving the
arena.

Workshops- 10:00 am
Sale- 11:00 am
